The Rafter M Ranch is located at the head of the San Luis Valley.  The Rio Grande National Forest is right in the back yard with the Sangre de Cristo mountain range creating a stunning view across the valley. 

Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to do while staying at the Rafter M.  The Kelly Creek trailhead is a prime destination for hunters, hikers, and horseback riders.  Just 30 minutes to the north, the town of Salida offers access to the Arkansas river for fishermen, rafters, and kayakers.  Sightseers wont want to miss the Great Sand Dunes National Park, just 30 minutes down the valley.  OHV enthusiasts will find plenty of miles to travel on designated roads in the Rio Grande NF and surrounding BLM roads.
